Guan Hu Yang, Ph.D. L.Ac.
Speaker profile: Prof. Guanhu Yang graduated from Zhejiang Traditional Medical University and got Master’s Degree from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Upon graduation, Prof. Guanhu worked as an Assistant Professor and Professor at Wenzhou Medical University.
Since 1993, Prof. Guanhu worked for Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University (Japan) as a staff. Meantime, he received his Ph.D degree from the Kanazawa Medical University of Japan. In 1999, Prof. Guanhu came to USA and continued his post doctoral research in pulmonary biology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He also chaired as the director of the SHI acupuncture school. He has been honored as a clinical assistant professor at Ohio University in 2015 and the Chair professor of American-Chinese joint institute of Acupuncture & rehabilitation Medicine in Wenzhou Medical University. He also is a professor in Doctoral Program at American Academy of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in USA. Prof. Guanhu was running two clinics in Ohio to practice acupuncture from 2003. Prof. Guanhu is appointed as a special reviewer for internationally renowned SCI magazines such as Cellular & Molecular Biology and an editorial board member of China Acupuncture and Moxibustion. He also is Vice president of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine digestion Committee. During his career, he has published 7 books and over 50 influential research articles relating to medicine.
