Ming Jin, Ph.D,L.Ac
Speaker profile: Dr. Ming Jin trained eleven years in both Chinese and Western Medicine at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), one of China’s leading Chinese Traditional Medicine schools. At the post-graduate level, she had the best professional education and clinical experience in TCM OB/GYN field since 1977.
Upon the arrival of IVF treatment in China, Dr. Ming Jin participated in initial clinical research using Chinese Medicine in conjunction with Western Medical treatment to increase the overall success rate for IVF. Along with several colleagues, Dr. Ming Jin co-authored the book <How Chinese Medicine Plays a Role in the Treatment of Infertility in China.
Dr. Ming Jin established Ming Qi Natural Healthcare Center in 1991 with offices in Manhattan and Queens treating more than 21,000 patients. One of the specialties of the Ming Qi center is the treatment of Infertility using Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture alone, or in combination with the IVF procedure. Patients who may benefit include those who are not responding quickly to fertility drugs, those with problems with implantation, or those with difficulty maintaining pregnancy due to poor quality of uterine lining. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Ming Jin has successfully treated over 760 patients with these conditions.
Dr. Ming Jin has taught classes and clinical Training in TCM OB-GYN since 1995 to students of TCM at both Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and New York Acupuncture Institute, as well as the MD Acupuncturist training program at SUNY Downstate teaching hospital (University Hospital of Brooklyn). As an editor and main speaker, she sponsors a public education series on Women’s Healthcare, Fertility, Pregnancy and Lactation Care, Fetal Development & New Born Healthcare, Female Cancer Preventive care for 25 years.
