Shunfa Jiao, Professor
Speaker profile: Since 1999, Professor has been the executive director of the Chinese Academy of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. He is also the President of the Shanxi Academy of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. In 1956, he was admitted to the Health School of Weishan County People’s Hospital for a two years’ program. From February 1961 to May 1964, he went to Shanxi Medical College to study and mastered the knowledge and clinical application of neurosurgery. In 1964 he became a neurosurgeon. Starting in the 1970s, Dr. Jiao has laid a solid foundation in modern medicine and was rich in clinical experience. He tried scalp acupuncture on himself while creating the therapy “Scalp Acupuncture ” which was published on March 18, 1971. Mr. Jiao’s “scalp acupuncture” has unique effects on brain-derived diseases, especially the hemiplegia caused by cerebrovascular diseases.
